Each salesperson at BobCat Motors is assigned an ID number that consists of four characters. The first character is either letter F or the letter P. The letter F indicates the salesperson is a full-time employee, whereas the letter P indicates that he or she is a part-time employee. The middle two are the salesperson’s initials, and the last character is either a 1 or a 2. A 1 indicates that the salesperson sells new cars, and a 2 indicate that the salesperson sells used cars.

In this assignment, you are required to complete the given incomplete application that allows the sales manager to enter salesperson’s ID and the number of cars salesperson sold during the last month. The application allows the sales manage to enter this information for as many salespeople as needed. The application should calculate and display the total number of cars sold by each of the following four categories of employees: full-time employees, part-time employees, employees selling new cars and employees selling used cars. The name of the solution, project, and form file are BobCat Motors Solution, BobCat Motors Project, and Main Form.vb, respectively.

You must complete the following parts in the given application.

  1. Write code to fill the combo box with values 0 to 30. (5 points)
  2. Write code to select the first element in the combo box. (5 points)
  3. Declare a String variable called salesId. (5 points)
  4. Write code to store idTextBox value in the variable salesID. (5 points)
  5. Fill the blanks in the following if statement so that it verifies the ID contains four characters, and that the first character is either F or P, and the last character is either 1 or 2.  (12 points)
  6. Write code to convert the selected value in numSoldComboBox to integer and store in variable carsSold. (10 points)
  7. Write code to display values of variables fulltimeCounter, parttimeCounter, newCarsCounter and usedCarsCounter in relevant labels. (8 points)
